Travelling on a rather low budget allow you to visit quite a few low cost hostels. And as it usually is at hostels you meet a lot of people from different countries that seem to be on more or less the same mission as you: to visit several destinations within the country that you have just landed in. Our intention of travelling might differ from each other, but for the local population we are more or less one homogenous mass. “Tourism” and “tourism development” in Latin America

In two days it is one month ago since we left Europe behind.  For me it is 1,5 months without an employment. We have come across many people that just as us do not have any occupation to refer to when asked “what they are doing back home”. We are travelling and we do not really know what we will to when we get “back home” because we do not have a home together back home. We do not know at the moment but maybe this year will help us to come somehow closer to an answer of that question….

Norway- a destination that is picking up speed

Winter is playing games with us this season. In november the first big snowfall came and it was a lot. And then came the rain. Before christmas the snow was almost totally gone and it have continued like that the last couple of months. On the 23rd of April the ski resort Will close for the season. Last year it closed on the 8th of April. Not because of lack of snow but because of lack of skiguests. In 2016 the Easter was early and Easter sets the end of the skiseason in Norway. The Northern Light Express Train

The interest for Northern Lights, or Aurora Borealis experiences are increasing rapidly in the north. During my internship in Narvik I have among other things been involved in product development of tourism experiences and the Northern Light have been a reoccurring theme. The phenomenon is caused by sun storms and when the electrically charged sun particles are enter the earth’s atmosphere the auroras occur (very ,very simple explanation). These geomagnetic storms tend to increase within a 11 year cycle and around the peaks the auroras are more frequent and at the moment we are experiencing one of these peaks, and…
