Christmas market in Heidelberg

Time pass fast when you are in good company. A few days before Christmas I flew down to Germany and my boyfriend for two weeks holiday. On the 23rd of December we boarded the plane to the Philippines but before that we had a very nice day at the Christmas market in Heidelberg.

Heidelberg is located in south-west Germany and is home to the oldest University in Germany. Even if the day was overcast and rather cold we explored the city that somehow reminds a bit of Granada in Spain.

After dragging Josch around to several boutiques and stores we settled for some glühwein at the Christmas market to get the temperature up before we walked up to the castle. I really look forward to come back to this place in another season.

Heidelberg might be expensive but the city sure has something that I would like to explore a bit more. Living in a small mountain village leaves a few thing to wish for and maybe Heidelberg has what it takes? Time will tell I guess.
